The Matchbox

The Matchbox is located 15 minutes from Waimate.

The Matchbox is elevated glamping, set 200m up in the hills above Waimate with wide views from the Southern Alps to the Pacific. Compact, well designed and private, it sleeps four and comes with a hot tub, open deck and plenty of space to switch off.

Inside, it’s compact but well thought out. Quality linens, leather seating, copper and timber details, and tiled finishes give it a warm, rustic feel. The bedroom, kitchen and bathroom are all in one building, with large sliding doors opening straight to the view.

Spend the day on the deck watching the sheep in the paddocks below. At night, soak in the hot tub and look out to the lights of Waimate and a clear South Canterbury sky.
