Waimate
accommodation
Base yourself here while you explore Waimate.
There’s a mix of motels, cabins, camping spots and rural stays, whether you’re here for a night or a few days.
Waimate is also an NZMCA-friendly town, with facilities that make it easy for motorhome travellers to stop and stay. You can park up and get around town easily on foot.
If you’ve got time, head inland to the Waitaki Valley where you can camp beside the lakes. It’s popular over summer for swimming, fishing and boating.
