Love a good mystery, cold case or unsolved crime?

The Unsolved Society is a new casual group in Waimate for curious minds who want to dig a little deeper into real unsolved cases.

The group will explore cases from across Te Waipounamu, the South Island, looking at evidence, timelines, witness accounts and theories to see what can be pieced together.

Cases will be chosen together and explored as a group. No experience or special knowledge is needed – just curiosity, an interest in asking questions and perhaps a good eye for the detail everyone else missed.

The first meeting will be very informal – there'll be no case to solve and no expectations. Come along, meet everyone, find out how the group might work and, most importantly, bring your ideas about the South Island cases you'd like to investigate.

The first season of The Unsolved Society will run from 6 September to 29 November, with no expectation that you attend every week.

It's purely a casual group for people who find mysteries, cold cases and unanswered questions fascinating.
