Amigurumi for Beginners Workshop

Learn how to turn yarn into very cute little creatures at this three-hour workshop run by Waimate crochet business Woolster.

Designed for people who already understand the basic crochet stitches, the workshop will cover the materials, patterns and essential techniques used to create amigurumi – the Japanese art of crocheting small stuffed toys.

Materials are included, and you’ll leave with the skills to begin creating amigurumi projects of your own.

  • Date: Saturday 5 September 2026

  • Suitable for: Crocheters with a good understanding of basic stitches

  • Duration: Three hours - times TBC

  • Cost: $65, including materials
