The Glenavy Hotel

Opened in 1889, the Glenavy Hotel is a classic Kiwi pub.

Set in the small township of Glenavy, about 15 minutes south of Waimate and close to the Waitaki River, it’s a regular stop for travellers, whitebaiters, salmon fishers and anyone up for a good yarn. There’s hearty food, cold drinks and accommodation on site.

It’s been in the same family for close to 40 years.
